The Sandtrap is one of our most popular properties in North Myrtle Beach, and for good reason. This property, located only one block from the beach, is divided into 10 different cottages. You can rent one unit, or for larger groups such as family reunions or church group retreats, you can reserve all ten. Sandtrap #1 is a two bedroom, one bath unit that will comfortably accommodate up to eight people. It is located on the lower level and has hardwood floors, ceramic tile, and tasteful, light colored decorations. With a swimming pool, volleyball court, and basketball court, you can have a lot of fun without ever leaving the property. When you feel like going out you are close to all that the Grand Strand has to offer, including delicious restaurants, family activities, and fun night spots. This unit fills up fast, so make your reservation early and get ready for a wonderful North Myrtle Beach vacation.

Sandtrap was perfect for the entire family, including the fur baby's. The place was nice, clean, and had many nice amenities. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the rainfall shower. The location was close to anything you wanted to do, and it was only a couple minutes walk to the beach. The only issue we had was with the door code. They had to provide us with the master code and said Maintenance would stop by to help us set our own code. They never did show up, so we used the master code the entire time.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit was just what the 4 of us needed. It was clean, good parking, plenty of space for us and the dogs. We never knew there were tenants above us. We will return next year.

The rental experience was good. The office was responsive and we found the accommodations to be affordable as compared to other beach destinations. It was nice having the pool just outside of our back door. The kids really had a blast.
We did have a couple minor issues that would not impact a future stay at Sandtrap. Because we had a first floor unit, the renters above us were loud and we could hear them stomping across their unit until the late night hours. We did find 2 large roaches in our unit, which we had to kill. We stayed in unit 1. There is another building outside of that window that has carport lights on at night that light up the room. Lastly, we would have loved an option for an early check in, but that is not available.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Love having the beach close by and all of the amenities just a quick drive away.

The place and location was great and as described. Definitely will return. Bathroom shower was amazing but space between sink and toilet is very small. Also the internet keep buffering and was slow so we could not watch TV. We did not call about this issue though.

The weather was great. The pool was in great shape, very clean and the water was considerably warm for April. House was clean. Only improvements I would recommend were more large plates and utensils for the kitchen. Nice location. Very thankful for a nice, clean place that accepts large dogs.

We had an amazing stay! Kids enjoyed the pool , basketball court, and the volleyball court. The only complaint was that when we first got there and pulled down the covers there was hair on the mattress protectors but it did not phase us much. It was clean and ready for use and overall a wonderful company to book with! This place had everything you could need and more. Short walk to the beach, lots of places to eat at and explore near by and everyone in north myrtle was so friendly. We had one internet issue and they came and fixed it within 15 minutes.

From start to finish, everything was perfect about our stay at Sandtrap 1. Jeanne, from the rental company, was awesome in responding to my many questions/emails. Pat, the maintenance person, was very prompt when we first arrived and had a TV issue that he fixed. Our home away from home couldn't have been more perfect. It had a quaint feeling, yet very roomy. We were very close to the beach. We definitely will be returning to Sandtrap for our next North Myrtle Beach vacation.

My wife and I stayed in Sandtrap 1 for two weeks, and we had a great time. I enjoyed the proximity of the rental to the beach, the strip, golf courses, and champions park for our dog. Jean was awesome every step of the way! She handled all our needs effortlessly, and made sure we had everything we needed. I can say enough about her southern hospitality and friendliness. When we drove up, a man came out of the room which scared us. TV's were on in the bedrooms, & the commode was just flushed. Kinda creepy. The TV in the living room never did work & the front bedroom TV kept saying "no signal". But we stayed in the back bedroom which was fine. We spilled a glass of tea on one of the comforters in the back bedroom so we washed both comforters; they smelled kind of musty anyway... The main suggestion I have would be to put lighting at the bottom of the front stairs & beside the laundry room.. Overall we had a great trip.

That way, if you arrived late, the unit would be lit up for you. Every TV is a bit different, so we always want to know that they worked when you arrived. We visit Myrtle Beach and have a dog. Finding a place to stay is hard as many do not allow pets or have a 25 lb weight limit. We found retreat myrtle beach a couple years ago when we decided some what last minute to go to the beach.
This was our first Stay at the sand trap. It was and is a great property. Yes it has a pool, yes you can walk to the beach easily even carrying beach gear. The property is clean and well maintained with nice laminate floors. Jeanne the agent at Retreat Myrtle is awesome to work with every time. She remembers you when you call and promptly returns phone calls. Never have we had any real issue with our stay. The largest issue was a tenant in a neighboring property parking in the wrong areas. No biggie, simple call resolved that quickly. Everything you need is there, toaster, microwave stove refrigerator and washer and dryer on site. Just swing by the store if you choose to or bring your own food, paper for the kitchen and bath, and dish soap and you are good to go. If you choose not to cook or eat in the unit, there is a variety of great places to dine nearby, and its only a few minute walk to Main Street or short (maybe 10min) drive to Cherry Grove. If you choose to go to downtown myrtle, just head to rt 17 few blocks west and you are good to go anywhere in the area from outlets to mall to dining to watersports OR even head north to NC for a meal on the waterfront. SO conveniently located it is simply a great area and place to rent!

Spacious and bright, clean and well stocked as far as cookware and dishes. Beds were great, mattresses vary in firmness so you can be like Goldilocks and find the one that fits you just right. Bathroom was up to date with plenty of hot water. Step out your back donor and the pool is right there. Dog park is less than ten minutes away, clean with great pet owners to friend. Any issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. Loved getting to know the workers who were friendly, caring and dedicated. Sit in the backyard and listen to the ocean at night while you count the stars!

We were very pleased with the location, the beautiful beach, cleanliness of unit and friendliness and quick responsiveness of host. Being pet friendly was an added bonus and we truly appreciated the ease and acceptance of allowing our 2 dogs to come with us on our vacation. Thank you!
